AUTHOR: Dr. Dana Kerry
AUTHOR BIO:
Dr. Kerry was 28 when BUPP Stage VI: A story of Black YUPPIES was completed.
The three year project represents Kerry's "overwhelming need"
to present an increasingly prevalent culture that is generally rejected
by both Black and White societies. Kerry's family moved from Chicago's predominantly-Black
South Shore to its predominantly-Jewish Highland Park when Dr. Kerry was
12. Kerry later spent one year in Indianapolis, Indiana before attending
The Ohio State University. After graduating, Dr. Kerry married and moved
to Los Angeles. Favorite hobbies include reading, in-line skating, and skiing.
Favorite poem: If we must die, by Claude McKay.
