RHYTHM & HUES NAMES ERIKA WANGBERG BURTON FILM DIVISION EXECUTIVE PRODUCER

MARINA DEL REY, CA - December 11th, 2006: Rhythm & Hues has announced that veteran Visual Effects Producer Erika Wangberg Burton will assume the role of Executive Producer in its film division. The position is being vacated by Lee Berger as he becomes the division's president in the wake of former President Richard Hollander's impending move to Pixar.

A VFX producer since 1996, Wangberg Burton has worked at several major effects and animation facilities over the course of a twenty-year career in the industry. She has been overseeing Rhythm & Hues' production of "Evan Almighty" and previously produced "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe," and "Dr. Seuss' 'The Cat in the Hat'" for the studio.

Berger stated "I am very excited about our immediate future both in animation and effects as this company moves on into its next chapter, and Erika will be a big part of that growth. We have a great team here at R&H. It has just gotten better."

Prior to joining Rhythm & Hues in 2002, Wangberg Burton was at The Secret Lab / Dream Quest Images from 1996, where she produced effects for a number of films including "Reign of Fire," "The Kid," "Bicentennial Man," "Instinct" and "Deep Rising." From 1992 to 1996 she moved up through the ranks at Industrial Light + Magic, working on "Mission: Impossible" and "Men in Black," and other projects. Early in her career she did stints at Jim Henson Productions, Showtime Networks and Triad Artists. Wangberg Burton is a graduate of UCLA, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in History.
