Anderson Returns to Rhythm + Hues' Commercials Division
LOS ANGELES – April 1, 2005: Paul Babb, the new Executive Producer at Rhythm + Hues Live, is happy to announce that Clark Anderson has returned to R+H to direct in the Commercials Division. Anderson has a unique ability to weave fantasy, lighthearted humor and strong storytelling into his commercials. He was previously a director at ka-chew!, a division of Klasky Csupo Animation.
“I am excited that Clark decided to come back home to Rhythm + Hues. His unique and decided approach to filmmaking shows in his work and makes him a joy to work with,” said Babb.
Born in Connecticut, Anderson's boundless imagination and inspired creations have always set him apart. Over the years, he's accumulated an eclectic set of interests including racing muscle cars, building furniture, restoring homes, cooking and working with iron, pewter and leather. At one point, Anderson even considered entering the ministry, a period that brought him the enduring patience he uses when working with animals and children in his commercials today.
Fortunately for us, however, Anderson has remained focused on live action, visual effects and animation. Upon graduating from Colorado Institute of Art, he took to computer animation and joined Computer Image Corporation in Denver where he was most noted for his work on the Children's Television Workshops' "Electric Company" and "Sesame Street". Anderson moved on to Robert Abel and Associates in Hollywood as an Art Director, Designer and Director. He spent the next 8 years working in the areas of motion graphics, animation, models and miniatures, visual effects and live-action for broadcast graphics and commercials. Clark's work at Abel and Associates included spots for CBS News, AT&T, TRW, Zenith, Atari, Toyota and Canon.
Anderson brings to Rhythm + Hues his remarkable creative vision in live-action and his strong background in art direction, visual effects, animation and CGI. His award-winning work at R+H includes directing work for Coca-Cola, Honda, United Airlines, Intel, Nabisco, Colgate, Huggies, Post-its, La-Z-boy, Kraft, Conoco, Samsung, Geico, Maalox, Joy, Ritz Bits, Fisher-Price and Budweiser.
Most recently, Anderson has continued to be a pioneer in directing work with a fresh, smart sensibility for such clients as Kraft, Mucinex, Post-its and Keebler.
John Hughes, Rhythm & Hues’ president and founder, stated “We welcome Clark back to the Rhythm & Hues family. He was with us at the inception of the Commercials Division and will be an integral part of its future."
