POSITION: Software UI Developer
DEPARTMENT: Software

Position Summary:
Rhythm & Hues Studios is currently seeking a software developer to design and engineer UI solutions for its various proprietary tools and applications. The ideal candidate would have industry experience developing commercial-quality interactive software.

Responsibilities:

• Create and customize intuitive UI components
• Develop specifications through usability investigations and design efforts

Required Skills/Experience:

• Strong C/C++ skills, including object-oriented design and large-scale software engineering
• Experience with object oriented UI toolkits, preferably Qt
• Experience analyzing and optimizing performance in event loops, balancing short-term solutions against long-term architectural vision
• Solid foundation in computer science fundamentals, such as data structures, algorithms, systems, and programming languages
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with people with varying levels of technical proficiency
• Desire to provide excellent customer support in a production environment

Desired Skills/Experience

Computer graphics techniques and OpenGL
Familiarity with visual effects software (ie. Maya, Houdini, Renderman)
