Currently hiring for all shifts. Possible weekends, part time available:
1) Day Shift: 8am – 5pm
2) Swing shift: 4pm – 1am
3) Graveyard shift: 12am – 9am
The Render I/O Coordinator will be responsible for monitoring renders, providing queue support to users, monitoring disk servers, performing backups/restores, and handling incoming/outgoing data transfers. Qualified candidates will have the opportunity to code from time to time. This is an entry level position that could lead to a Pipeline TD or Digital Artist role.
- Manage studio resources, including disk space and CPU utilization.
- Prepare incoming/outgoing data transfers.
- Coordinate backups and restores.
- Monitor studio queue system.
- Troubleshoot and correct failing tasks.
- Unix experience (proficiency with basic tools).
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with people with various levels of technical proficiency.
- Desire to provide excellent customer support in a production environment.
- CS degree or equivalent experience.
- Scripting language experience (eg. Perl, Python).
- Experience working with relational databases.
- Excellent documentation skills.
- Interest in computer animation and visual effects.
