POSITION: Head of Human Resources
DEPARTMENT: Human Resources

Rhythm & Hues Studios is an Academy award-winning visual effects and animation studio for feature films and commercials. We are currently seeking a Head of Human Resources who will be responsible for managing the human resources function and developing human resources strategies in support of our business initiatives. This position will report directly to the President.

Position Details:

  • Manage the development, improvement and execution of human resources services
  • Initiate and drive the design and implementation of new and revised human resources policies, processes and programs, to include employee relations, compliance, performance management and training and development
  • Proactively provide guidance and counsel to managers on employee relations issues, human resources policies and practices and employment law
  • Develop and maintain effective strategic business partnerships with managers at all levels of the organization
  • Administer and oversee all company benefit plans, statutory benefits, leaves of absence and payroll
  • Handle all employment-based immigration matters
Required Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field and 8 - 10 years of progressive human resources experience with a minimum of 3 years at the director level
  • Thorough working knowledge of all human resources generalist functions
  • Superior employee relations skills
  • Solid knowledge of Federal and State employment laws and regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage direct reports in a team-oriented HR environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills with the proven ability to manage and lead change
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
Desired Qualifications:
  • Prior experience administering self-insured health plans, flexible spending plans, 401(k) plans, ADP payroll and employment-related immigration matters
  • PHR or SPHR certification
  • Previous experience in the entertainment industry
