Technical Animation (Dynamics on Cloth, Hair) & Character Rigging

Position Summary
Technical Animators work closely with all aspects of the production pipeline,especially animation and lighting. They require an artistic eye to evaluate results and work with several departments in order to ensure successful completion of 3D character shots, which includes the application of dynamics, fur and cloth to characters.

The Character Rigger on the other hand defines how a model will move by establishing deformation structure and control. They work closely with modelers and animators in order to provide desired deformations and rig controls.

Responsibilities
* Creating a hierarchical rig control structure.
* Modify character body,cloth and fur motion through deformations and dynamics.
* Working closely with modelers and animators, rigs are then refined in order to achieve the desired effect.


Requried Skills / Experience
* 2-4 years of working experience in a 3D environment, doing rigging and /or simulation.
* Excellent problem solving skills
* Ability to prioritize and handle multiple requests
* Scripting and programming ability ? C++,Python,Perl, csh, etc.
* Entertainment-specific 3D package proficiency (Maya,Houdini)
* B.Tech/B.Sc with a good experience of 3D graphics.
* Understanding of computer animation techniques and terminology


Good to have
* Excellent communication skills.
* Strong understanding of dynamics and fur.
* Programming experience in computer graphics.
* Strong understanding of Anatomy.
* Art background will be an added bonus.


Regarding demo reels
1) Screen captures (Mov or Avi files) which showcase customization and functionality of your rig, Character User Interface.
2) You can also include samples of your Cloth / Hair simulations (Mov or Avi files)
3) Do include show reel breakdown.
4) Also include Maya / Max files if possible.
