Position Summary

Responsible for the Database Administration of the central Informix database server. Closely monitor performance and fine-tune as required. Participate in design and implementation of all database related projects across different locations. Implement and manage a regular and reliable backup strategy.

Required Skills/Experience

· Tunning of Operating System parameters with respect to the Informix Database Server.
· Experienced with various backup strategies of Informix and exposure to third party backup libraries.
· Well versed with Operating System Level disk configuration.
· Experience with database replication on Informix.
· Experience in disaster recovery methods of Informix Database
· Should be ready to be available for 24 X 7 Customer Support for any Informix Database Related Calls.
· Over 4 years of experience with Infomix at a DBA level.

Desired Skills/Experience

· Application Development experience would be desirable.
· Knowledge of relational database design and implementation.
· Excellent communication skills.
