Visual Effects Supervisor
Since 1993, Todd Shifflett has been an integral part of many of the high profile projects that have cemented Rhythm & Hues Studios’ reputation as an industry-leading producer of effects and animation for movies and commercials.
Currently, Todd is the visual effects supervisor for R&H on the dramatic vampire-thriller, “Cirque du Freak,’ and the romantic drama “The Time Traveller’s Wife, ” which both release in 2008. Recently, Todd led the R&H team on the hugely successful box office hit “Alvin and the Chipmunks.”
Todd rose through the digital artist ranks at R&H to become one of its leading creative talents. Among his earliest assignments was on the Coca-Cola Polar Bears campaign. Soon after, as CG Supervisor on the Oscar-winning “Babe,” Todd led the development of the pipeline and software to make the project technically possible. More recently, as VFX Supervisor, he led the R&H teams on “Charlotte’s Web” and “Happy Feet.”
Prior to joining Rhythm & Hues, Todd worked at R/Greenberg and Associates, the renowned New York advertising agency, while attending NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, where he received degrees in both Film & Television production as well as Computer Science.
