Rhythm & Hues is committed to the full support of filmmakers in service of their creative vision.

Among the studios’ numerous distinctions are two Academy Awards for Achievement in Visual Effects, in 2008 for “The Golden Compass,” (which also won the BAFTA award for Special Visual Effects); and "Babe" in 1995. R&H was nominated for an Oscar in 2005 for “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion the Witch and Wardrobe,” and made significant contributions to “Happy Feet,” the Academy Award-winning Best Animated Feature Film of 2006.

The studio is the recipient of three Scientific and Technical Academy Awards, most recently in 2008 for the development of its proprietary fluid simulation tools. Earlier Sci-Tech awards recognized the studios’ industry-leading advancements including the invention of its proprietary film scanner, as well as its role in the development of the Wavefront Advanced Visualizer, which paved the way for modern computer graphics software applications.

Rhythm & Hues is currently at work on a number of projects for release in 2008-09, including “The Incredible Hulk,” “The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor,” “They Came from Upstairs,” “Land of the Lost,” “State of Play” and “Cirque du Freak.”
