Directed by Tim Hill. Under the VFX supervision of Betsy Paterson, Rhythm & Hues delivered several hundred shots featuring 3D-animated Garfield and his alter ego, Prince. Improvements to the original Garfield rig were made so he could move even more naturally than in the first movie. Improvements in lighting and rendering pipelines were also realized during this production.
