John Favreau directs Will Farrell as a large man raised as an elf at the North Pole who, after inadvertantly wreaking havoc on the elf community due to his ungainly size, is sent to New York in search of his true identity. Twenty cool and elaborate shots were produced by Rhythm & Hues for the climactic sequence, involving a CG Sleigh replete with toys, CG Reindeer and CG stunt doubles, (Santa and an Elf). Betsy Paterson supervised plate and blue screen photography in NYC and Vancouver.
