Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant

Based on Darren Shan's children's series, Paul Weitz (“About a Boy”) directs with a screenplay by Brian Helgeland. A young boy named Darren Shan meets a mysterious man at a freak show who turns out to be a vampire. After a series of events Darren must leave his normal life and go on the road with the Cirque Du Freak and become a vampire. Starring John C. Reilly, Salma Hayek and Ken Watanabe. VFX Supervisor Todd Shifflett (Alvin & The Chipmunks) oversaw creation of 300 shots featuring several CG circus characters and digital set extensions.
