Directed by Gary Winick. Rhythm & Hues brought its deep expertise with talking animal films to this live action production of the classic children’s book. Most of the barnyard animals were handled by R&H (the spider was produced at another facility). In addition to talking animals, the show also required extensive compositing to create the illusion that all of the animals were in the same space at the same time, looking in the right direction, and behaving according to the director’s vision. VFX supervisor Todd Shifflett and VFX producer Gary Nolin led the Rhythm & Hues team.
